Testt® Coach Certification is a further tool to the vast toolbox an equestrian coach already accesses.

Testt® Certified Coaches have completed the entry level Testt® coaching course and have then completed an intensive 2 day education programme to develop their knowledge of the Testt® process and common asymmetries. The coaches have been educated in the fundamentals of human anatomy, muscle mechanics, proprioception and pain in riders.

The practical elements develop the coaches knowledge in assessing and correcting on horse asymmetry using resistance bands, taping techniques and coaching skills. Coaches are also educated in a hands off approach using functional testing exercises to identify and correct off horse asymmetries.

The assessment of the coach comprises of the submission of 6 case studies followed by an oral viva examination to assess their knowledge base and competencies outlined in the certification process.

Testt® Certified Coaches are NOT Therapists or practitioners  and have not been educated in any hands on Therapy modality to correct asymmetries.

  • I am not an elite rider, can I still attend your clinic?"
The clinic is open to all levels of riders and horses to all disciplines. If you have any questions prior to your booking about the assessment please email : testt@eventphysio.com
  • How do I host a clinic at my venue?
    1) The venue should be suitable for day clinics ie: toilet and hand washing facilities, accesible parking for visiting clients, current health and safety guidelines. 2) We require 7-8 hours of work per clinic (we currently do not charge travel but this is under review for 2022 prices). 3) Our host receives a complementary session and Testt® kit bag on our first visit to the venue. 4) If there is an arena fee then we ask that the client pays this to the host. 5) We provide payment and booking links to the host that can be forwarded to prospective clients and inform you when payment has been made. 6) We have a cancellation policy, please see below.
  • What does the assessment entail?
Testt®️Rider Symmetry Assessment: 🔹 Do you have a preference of rein? 🔹 Do you find your pelvis shifting more to one side than the other? 🔹 Do you feel that you fix through one hand? 🔹 Do you have a preference of jumping left or jumping right? 🔹 Do you have a tendency to run out of jumps the same way? Mounted assessment : ➡️ 60 minute assessment, firstly viewing on horse (centre line and circles) then assessment off horse and the asymmetry will be addressed and then Andy will view back on horse again. If appropriate Andy will then utilise Testt®️Activation kit bands and tape on horse to reinforce the off horse activation. After the riding Andy will provide a rehab plan of exercise which you can utilise with an interactive app for your mobile phone or tablet device. ➡️ If you have had a previous assessment with Andy in the past 18 months then there is an option of 30 minutes mounted follow up and work on any technical aspects. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR HORSE WILL NEED TO BE HELD FOR THE SHORT UNMOUNTED ASPECT OF THE ASSESSMENT. YOU WILL NEED TO ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE SUPPORT WITH THIS.
  • Do I have to bring my own horse?
Ideally yes as often, the problems are specific to the combination but we can do the assessment on a horse you may have borrowed for the day.
  • Can my coach attend the clinic with me?
Yes of course, but we do not allow any therapists to attend.
  • There is a clinic in my area, can I come and watch?"
We do not allow auditors to our clinics, the sessions are private 1-1 assessments and are treated as a confidential appointment.
  • Can I video my own assessment?
Yes, however the unmounted aspect of the assessment and rehab plan can not. The video that you take must used for your own reflection and NOT to be uploaded to social media platforms or shared with others.
  • I want to cancel my assessment, how do I do this?"
4 weeks cancellation of clinic date : Full refund 2 weeks cancellation of clinic date : 50% refund Under 2 weeks notice then no refund available No exception to the above unless you can fill the clinic space yourself and that the host is supportive of this replacement. If horse unable to attend the mounted clinic then we have provision to see you unmounted, for more information about this contact Nia on 07703104630 Weather impact : our hosts make the final decision as to whether the clinic is fit to run.
